The Montrose County Jail has implemented Video Visitation. We offer video visitation in the Programs Lobby on site on Mondays or Fridays only. To schedule an appointment for home visits or on-site visits, please visit customer.cidnet.net or call 1-888-984-1903. Additional details about signing up for video visitation is available here. You can pick a time between the hours of 9am – 11am and 7pm – 9pm. On site visits will be limited to one, ten minute visit per inmate, per week. The Montrose County Detention Center visitation is ADA compliant. These visits will be recorded and may be monitored during the visit.
Visitation privileges are subject to time allowances or other security factors and may be cancelled at any time with or without notice if deemed necessary by Administration or the Detention Supervisor.
Children will now be allowed to visit inmates at the Montrose County Detention Center. An adult must accompany each child one at a time.
Visitors must be appropriately dressed. Persons inappropriately dressed will not be allowed to visit. If an inmate or visitor displays inappropriate behavior, or becomes a threat to the safety of the facility, the visit will be terminated immediately and they may lose their privilege to future visitation.

Inmates may conduct video visitation through the kiosk.
Video visitation is allowed from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. Visitation is conducted on Saturday’s from 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Visitation may be cancelled at any time without prior notice. All inmates must complete a weekly visitation list, via the kiosk, with the names of persons they expect to have visit. This list may be changed at any time, prior to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Visitation lists must be turned in prior to noon on Saturday. Failure to submit a visitation list will result in loss of visitation. All inmates must be cleared of any intoxicants to participate in visitation. Special visitation or extended visits may be considered and approved by the Sergeant’s office. Requests are to be submitted by memo.
A parent or guardian must accompany all children under the age of 18. Any visitor believed to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be permitted visitation. Visitors must be dressed appropriately and may be denied visitation if their behavior is deemed inappropriate. Visitation will not be permitted between parties with active non-contact restraining orders. Inmates in disciplinary lockdown at the time of visitation will be notified if they will be denied visitation. All visitors must have a valid picture I.D. Visitors may deposit money via the kiosk or leave approved undergarments for an inmate with the staff.

Family and approved friends can visit inmates at Ouray County Jail, but all visits must be scheduled in advance by calling 970-325-7272. Visitors need a valid government photo ID and must follow the dress code, which requires modest clothing and prohibits gang-related items. Anyone under the influence, with active warrants, or who has violated past rules may be denied entry.
Visits take place on-site at 541 Fourth Street in Ouray. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early for check-in, ID verification, and security screening. Personal items like phones, bags, food, and weapons are not allowed. Bring only your ID and essential items. In-person and video visits may vary based on jail policies, so always call to confirm availability, visitation limits, and current hours.
