Brent Martin is an experienced trial lawyer practicing both civil and criminal law. A native of Maryland, Mr. Martin now practices law in Colorado and Mississippi.
Mr. Martin attended The University of Denver where he completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 2000. Upon graduating from Suffolk University Law, Mr. Martin moved back to Denver, Colorado where he studied for, and was admitted to, the Colorado Bar. Mr. Martin was employed shortly thereafter by a law firm in Telluride, Colorado, focusing on complex civil litigation and criminal defense.
Since 2001, Mr. Martin has represented clients in civil and criminal jury trials, as well as trials to the court. Additionally, Mr. Martin has represented clients before the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Mr. Martin relocated back to Denver, Colorado in 2003 and practiced as a solo practitioner in civil litigation and criminal defense. During that time, Mr. Martin appeared in county and district courts in the City and County of Denver, as well as in Adams, Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe Counties.
Mr. Martin has handled in excess of 4000 misdemeanor and felony criminal cases including driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (DUI), misdemeanor and felony assault, burglary, robbery, drug possession, drug distribution, sexual assault, internet sex offenses, motor vehicle theft, protection order violations, hunting violations and violent crimes.
Mr. Martin represents clients in multiple areas of complex civil litigation including personal injury, defamation of character, traumatic brain injury, automobile accidents, commercial litigation, breach of contract, preliminary and permanent injunctions, as well as residential and commercial mechanic’s lien disputes, family legal matters, wills & trusts.
Mr. Martin now serves clients in Colorado and on the Gulfport Mississippi.
